It was the Smart Reader Kids graduation ceremony + performance at The Summit Hotel. Here’s part 1- The Backstage Pass

Damn, those kids are really hyper. And they totally made my day.

It’s the wedding of two couples and i was invited by Lionel to help out with shooting. Who are the two couples? Seriously. I don’t know their name. You so clever you read la.

Nah. Told you so. That’s the name of one of the Myanmar couples. The thing was.. i forgot to ask too. lol. So now its time for the pictures to do the talking.

And that’s that.

Last saturday was lily’s 21st birthday party and i became slave no.2 the photographer for the night.. damn it was tiring alright.

This sunday i will be shooting two myanmar couples wedding lagi.. die lo.. luckily for me, there will be like 4 photographers on the day including me.

Anyway, back to the topic, being the slave photographer, i went earlier that day at around 5 to take behind the scenes.. but i wasn’t the earliest.

Slave no.1 Jia Leng was there the day before to help out with preparations. Phew. My behind the scene pictures consisted mostly of one girl, and its not the birthday girl but a girl named Xuan Xuan, if that is how u spell her name.

Daaaamnn she’s cute. If you hadn’t know yet, she’s Lily’s niece and also Kelvin & Phoenix’s daughter. For architecture students, ya la, the senior Kelvin and Phoenix.

Aww.. she’s loved by many people. including me! Yes, i totally have a huge crush on her.

Oh my, we are heading off topic here. Back to the party, the theme this time was pink. Well, my shirt seems kinda purple thanks to Linxin.. your eyes ok ah Linxin? lol. Food was like CRAZY. They didn’t buy food, they bought the whole bloody Tesco to barbeque.

I don’t even know who took this pic, but thanks whoever it is since i forgot to take pics of the food. The whole tesco but still it wasn’t enough for them, they even prepared sushi, fried mihun, curry chicken, satay, ketupat and even jelly. WOAH, want to kill us meh. But hey, everything was good, no complains, even if there were, its better to keep it to ourselves as the birthday girl might kill us herself if the food didn’t do its job.

The number of people was like CRAZY too. Now imagine sixty people trying to barbeque food all at the same time. Oh man, it’s more like us being barbequed alive by the heat radiated out by our bodies. I think she wanted to invoke some “extreme intimacy” with the guests.

Then it’s time for the cake, oh the cake? You guessed it. It was CRAZY. It’s not even a “cake”. It’s a “CAMERON HIGHLAND”. Did you know there’s a giant that lives on Cameron Highlands?

Now you know.. After some water blowing session it was time for group photos. Group photos, were CRAZY. I had to use my wideangle to capture everybody’s face in it.

Due to the toxicity of the strawberries, the Chinese people there became abit CRAZY cause they started to feel the Deepavali spirit and it made them into talking in.. Indian accent and calling themselves Muthu. Them meaning us.

My second last semester is finally over.. if i pass my subjects. I have to say it certainly feels good to be back and be able to sleep. Anyway, today i started my work as intern.. learned quite a number of things. The other staffs were really helpful and gives me help with smiles on their faces, which is a great thing. You thought i would not have anything to do on my first day? WRONG. Got a proposal project of a hotel at KLIA.. quite interesting, we’ll see how it goes with the concepts and stuff. Well, i did not bring along my camera, so no pics for now.

Two days back was the school’s external review for students work this semester. I must say i’m quite happy with my work this semester. Somehow passion is growing and i hope its not too late.. heard people say that architects are late bloomers so i guess i’m quite ahead of time?

About the critique session, kinda a first for me. There was supposed to be 2 reviewers but uh.. last minute the other architect couldn’t make it so reducing the number to only one. The funny thing was that three of us in a group presented our works to him almost  like we were chatting and for some time in the beginning, we even presented all at once.

If you were wondering, critique sessions are meant for the architects to critic our works individually. But i thought this way wasn’t bad either, we actually got to get more information out of him. The one thing i can remember is the smile on his face when he listens to us.. Its almost like he is thinking up ways to shoot us down. *shivers*

But he did not. He was a very friendly man and provided us with useful suggestions. About the boards this time around, they almost killed me. I printed 19 A0 sized boards. 10 for internal review with school lecturers and reprinted 9 new ones with some minor changes for external review. AND its RM35 for each. Ugh shit… I’m officially broke..n. but happy for the good remarks.

Days are not getting easier. My biological clock is messed up, seems like all the sleepless nights for the past 3 weeks is catching up to me. I feel so dry. Had not been drinking enough water. My skin ain’t being a friend to me either, feeling sore all over. Hopefully this will be the last week for all submissions.

What’s new in my life? Nothing really. Except maybe the generation of cells on my body. So just watch the video above for you all facebookers. Watch it already.

I think i’ve been really wasting my camera’s video capabilities. I should find some time and make use of it or something. Found this video below which was shot and edited by Cheng Ka Chun of China. Enjoy.

Superb. Don’t ask me who the girl is, most probably the guy’s gf or something. The equipments he used was only the Nikon D90 with 50mm f/1.8 and 35mm f/2. Btw, what is the name of the song? Just a very quick update about an off-the-beaten-track thai restaurant located in PJ.

The name’s Khuntai. Located just off Jalan Gasing, the restaurant gives customers an authentic taste of Thai Cuisine. Most of the workers there are actually from Thailand which makes me suspect that the chef himself is too.

The interior is not that fancy.. but never judge a book by its cover as you will be so very wrong if you do so. 

We had the (in order) seafood tomyam, thai style deep friend prawns, pandan chicken, sweet and sour fish and thai vegie fried with egg (yea, thats the name of the vegie fyi). Everything was really good, the tomyam, officially the best i’ve tasted so far. 3 person plus tea, rice and a very tasty coconut for RM110.

Aparently yes. I was so impressed with the price and the food i’m making sure i’ll return to this place again..

Especially when i can see cute guys in cute hats. P/S: I’m not gay

Happy 9/9/09.. this is as close as it gets to my birth date of course second to olympic’s 8/8/08. Anyway, if i manage to survive all of my assignment submissions. I promise. I’ll blog.

Mandy invited insisted invited me to the UTAR’s Merdeka Cultural Fashion Night providing me with yet another chance to improve my skills with my “heavy black brick”. This time i brought along my apprentice friend to give her some exposure to runway photography.

I’ve been trying alot of cuisines lately.. First i had Thai cuisine with the TOA-ians at BBQ Plaza..

Then i had chinese cuisine with the Murnians at Restaurant Talipon

Then i had korean cuisine with the SGKL people at Seoul Korea

But hor, whatever cuisine i go to also kan..

SURE ALL BARBEQUE ONE!

Man, i had consumed so much barbequed food, i can conclude that i had reduce my carbon footprint by 58.92%. Alright, i have to quit eating barbeque’d foods for a few weeks or something or i might die a premature death. Btw, someone nominated my blog for the Asia-Pacific Blog Awards which i really didnt know anything about. Well, thank you very much to the person who nominated me

Hmm.. anyway, what should i eat for dinner? Chicken rice? Oh can’t.. barbeque’d also.. niasing.
