Then it was another trip to KL. i don’t know, the hundred and sixty fifth visit to KL? in a month? At least it feels that way. This time we were there to get to know how buildings of different eras were constructed. But heck, i don’t want to bore you with that, infact, me myself am bored of it, the hot weather, the repeating scenes of everyday hectic lives and even the architecture of KL, there isn’t much new things to be really visiting it all the time. But hey, there’s something in KL that doesn’t bother me, the people. No, not the pretty girls.

No, Rudy is still on Hitz. Just read on. So after i don’t know of how many days of doing assignments and not even celebrating my birthday, i’m finally free. And that’s not even 100% free. Just free enough to blog one post. Anyway, let’s start with my birthday. Yes, my birthday falls on the Olympic’s opening day. Be jealous.

Yea lol that’s the opening on the tv screen there. And that’s my birthday cake on the table. Nothing happened on my birthday, i didn’t even had my birthday family dinner yet but thanks alot to those who wished me, i never had that many sms’s in one day in my life before, you guys rock. Moving on, after 5 days of not even leaving my house, and getting less than 5 hours of sleep each day, it was finally D-Day, i mean presentation day.

All was ready, i came an hour earlier to the studio. Pasted up my boards, waited, but my turn never came. Due to time constrain, my presentation with another 3 classmates was postponed to friday. Wtf. So to avoid the tremendous potong stim event that i encountered, i went to Cineleisure for the Advertlets’ premier screening of “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan” with Jamie and her sis, Jeannie. Thus, the title name.

It’s really good, highly recommended, and it does not cost RM30 a piece. In fact you can get the whole cake for just RM24. You can get it at Ikano Powercenter’s Ikea, i don’t know about other the Ikea outlets though. Then, Jamie went and did the “girl’s hobby” yea, camwhoring. With a DSLR. You don’t see me doing that.

WHAT? THAT ISN’T ME LAH. THAT’S THAT’S.. THAT’S… JEANNIE! Seriously lah… Don’t look like her meh? Anywaaaaaay, we thought the movie starts at 8.30PM but no, that was just the time when the registering of invited bloggers starts. Then since we had some free time before the movie starts, I dragged the sisters to get some make up for myself, cause i noticed.. every person walking by us, was looking at us……. YEA LA YEA LA, NOT US LA. BOTH OF THEM ONLY. and it was them who wanted to get the make up ok and sorry for being bising in this paragraph.

Afterwards, it was time to enter the cinema, it was filled with bloggers and about the movie?

It’s a very easy summarizing the whole movie, in fact i just need one word to describe the whole experience.

But yea. the foodcourt’s gone now. Replaced with new shophouses.

With Jamie’s recommendations, we ordered the pumpkin sauce tofu and fuzhou spring rolls. Then we added the alaskan crab which was served in 2 ways, the 5 tastes chicken and kailan in ginger sauce.. from Jamie’s cousin’s shop. Yea, it’s her cousin’s shop. wtf.

1st up, the alaskan crabs. I was sitting there like a fool, ok.. i see the legs, where’s the body? Oh well, i admit i’m abit blurred at that moment, it then came on another plate cooked in another way. Okay.. i thought wth.. let’s eat.. that was until i sat there like a fool staring at the crab legs, again. Okay.. how do u work it? I look to my left and right.

Wth. My parents had never eaten alaskan crabs before either, how do they know how to work it? You know what i think? Must be AFC, the Asian Food Channel on Astro. I should seriously watch more tv. or i’ll look stupid.. u know, the wtf face?

After the main thing, the alaskan king crabs, yea those on ‘The Deadliest Catch’ on Discovery Channel. I watch tv too.. sometimes. So we finished up our other dishes. Our other 5 dishes.. i told my mom it’s enough when we were ordering, but heck, she wants to order one more dish, vegies, saying that it’s not good without vegies… -_- So yea, had to like finish them up. And did i mention about the way they make ur chinese tea here?

The traditional way yo. The food there really tastes good! They invent their own recipe and do wonders. So yea it’s highly recommended. After we were done, it was time to pay. Not much. Just RM39.49.. sorry i meant RM394.90………….. THREE HUNDRED NINETY FOUR and NINETY CENTS?!?!!!?!!! Exactly, that’s the wtf face attached to your skull now lol. Joseph Ang, you should pay me for advertising here.. or a free meal for my upcoming birthday?

Was just browsing through my friend’s profiles on friendster.. when i’m supposed to be doing work. Well, let’s put aside the consequences of that 1st, it suddenly strucked me that photos are a very powerful presentation of a person’s live. I could literally see the attitudes, the personalities and what they really are through the pics even without meeting some of them. Anyhow, came back from Sungai Long and started being lazy.. till now, went there today to hunt for composite wall buildings but to no avail. Took quite a number of pics there.

So i had nothing to do and thought of checking random stuff on the net. And i came across this particular website which can calculate your blog or whatever websites’ rank through the amount of traffic it gets. Just like a very normal mortal soul, i typed in the link to my blog and voila.

A very high tech looking webpage comes into view an what a surprise! I’m not in the top 100,000. Then, like what most bloggers would do, i typed Kennysia.com in the search field and pressed enter.

Dude, he has a ranking of 16,405! Alright, let’s minus out 16,405 from 4,398,921.. well.. i’ll er.. let you do the maths. And he has a thumbnail of his blog! Life’s so not fair. lol. Then i got more curious at what could be at the top of the list, in Malaysia at least.

Fair enough, number one is yahoo. Second is google and third is.. friendster, er.. that’s abit unexpected. Then i continued down the list and number 29 caught my eye.

The event of the year, or should i say the 2nd biggest event yet in Malaysia itself? 2nd to Commonwealth Games in 1998. So yea, it’s a big ass event where all the youths around Malaysia and especially around the Klang Valley are getting crazy about for the ticks. Well, just go and buy the ticks la right? BUT NO. It’s not for sale. If there were ticks, the amount of people present will need the space of 3 to 4 of Beijing’s Birds Nest. on top of each other.

That stacking up of the Bird Nest just reminds me of something.

Avril Lavigne.

Yea, she’s coming to Malaysia on her The Best Damn Tour: World Tour. But actually, nobody knows that she’s here in Malaysia to visit her far away relative. Well, she thought that she’ll just make some money while she does that. And there goes the great formula for another concert which sells like hot cakes Birds Nest Burgers here. Anyway, let you guys on a secret, i’ve never been to a concert, and i’m not going to the any of the above either.. and i’m actually the relative Avril wanted to visit.

Day 3 AKA last day at Kampar. It’s time to leave our very romantic little European town behind. First stop of the day on the way back to KL was Clearwater Sanctuary. I thought to myself, dude this must be a hella nice place, is it like a sanctuary for wild fishes and a place for them to breed? To my horror, it was not. It’s an f-king. Golf course. So what’s with the other few types of balls doing lying around?

Why would you even have the slightest idea of wanting to lay shame to our national flower? … or plant? What’s wrong with you people? But hey! They do have alot of water lilys lying around the water which really looks nice.. lol. Yea, please do count the times i praise them (Clearwater Sanctuary).

Apparently, they have a few units of chalet type rooms where reportedly Jodie Foster spent a few nights in before. Wo…w…… okay, time for a group pic at the very boring place 

The dude who took the pic should seriously take hand-eye coordination enchancement classes, i had to crop the pic to make it look centered cause he can’t even take a decent group pic without swaying to the left. Argh. Ok, enough with pissing me off. Let’s move on to the highlight of the day, Kellie’s Castle.

Look at that thing. Intimidating. Anyway, look at the roof, that was what we all thought, it’s well, a roof, right? The hell we know we could literally get up on the roof? CRAZY ARH?! There aren’t even any railings or anything for you to hold on to, it’s just a flat piece of slab for you go get up on.

Wai Choon, you are seriously the man, man. *Breaths in, breaths out* Did you know that just to the side of the castle, is a tree. It looks as if a bear is humping hugging that tree. I’m not trying to be funny here, seriously.

Look at Anne, she must be like “OMG, it’s humping the tree, let’s take a pic.” LOL To me, it is certainly way more facinating that Jodie Foster spending a few nights at Clearwater Sanctuary, way more. After that was none other than our final group pic before departing for college.

See, even putting the camera on the ground with timer also take nicer group pic than the dude at Clearwater Sanctuary. RAWR! Okok… i’m calm. So how many times did i praise Clearwater Sanctuary? or the reverse.

After breakfast we were on our way to SEK mines. After quite some time doing world class rally to the site, we got down of the bus and..

Holy shit. What had you done to mother nature you bitch ass!? Exploiting mother nature like this!? What lah, i’m just sounding for my environmentally oriented friends. Yes, Shawn, we have blue skies here in Malaysia too.

But i’m sure the weather there in Aussie is way better compared to the sun which rises up to kill us all in Malaysia here. It got so hot, we needed a fast entrance and a fast exit, we got to hire this pick-up truck there for as little as.. oh it’s free.

As it’s free, it dumped us halfway while we were entering deeper into the mines, not like it’s underground right. It’s not called an opened pit mine for nothing. So no worries for claustrophobic people. So, we continued on foot and came to this awesome water pumping thing. If i’m not wrong, when we were studying Kajian Tempatan in Primary 5, the name was, pam kelikir.

Awesome right? I know. I’m a genius. I held the gun and started my killing spree of the huge ass rocks around. After that, we killed our legs looking at other stuffs around the like 12983 hectres of the mines. So not to bore you anymore, let’s jump to yep yep yep, ANOTHER MINING SITE. AWESOME DUDE! Great. Now this next mining site is known as Tanjung Tualang. It’s a little different at this place. You have this really huge structure here which totally rivals your 6 Series BMW. 

It’s called a dreging, and the name of this particular one is TT5 which stands for Tanjung Tualang 5, as this is the 5th dreging at Tanjung Tualang and the only one which is not being dismantled and used to show future generations what is a kapal korek. Then, it was time for at last, lunch. Which rocked us till our panties, or briefs dropped.

Yea, the last pic, just so i’m in it. Poor me. Yes, they had this awesome ais kacang, and this weird ais kacang + jelly in a cup thingy, and the food is good, and there were these prawns which had like.. you know those high cholesterol content thingy in their head, that’s what i call food. After this break, it’s time to return to Tanjung Tualang, and this time, we shall enter the dragon dreging. Holy shit, do you know how dangerous is it inside the bloody thing? Kononnya, wanna show the thing to future generations.

Look at that hole in the metal floor, you can see the other floor’s floor from it, or sometimes, the water under the dreging. Told you it’s dangerous. When we got back to our rooms, we literally brokedown suffering from system failure. So after we washed off, we dragged ourselves to the bus for a visit to Kampar Oldtown. There we had this famous curry chicken in bread. Yes, you didn’t read it wrongly.

We ordered another flavour too, which is the chinese herbs chicken in bread, which in my opinion is better than the curry one. Done eating and apparently our minds went crazy and began to treat the restaurant like we owned it or something. Holigans. *rolls eyes*

Being done with being holigans we returned to the hotel, before leaving from our rooms for our 2nd Counter Strike session.

Like i told you here, the battle is really heated.

Not long after we got back from Kampar, we had to make another exhibition booth for One Utama’s competition. This time all we had was.. one night. Holy the crap right? The idea was the same as before for Tranxxit, just smaller.. or the so called version 2. After getting done with my presentation board.. i mean three A1 size presentation boards for my design assignment, i went to meet up the guys at studio to help with building the booth up.

This was what i saw when i got there. Ok.. what the heck.. let’s just go have dinner 1st. lol. After that was everybody’s shower session. Actually it kinda occured to me that, art is everywhere, it just depends if you have the eye to see it. Let me prove the point,

I took this at Sin Yi’s place and if you ask me to go out for photography outings, i wouldn’t know where to go, cause we can take pics virtually everywhere, and photography outing to famous places literally meant that, the place is famous, and everybody took pics there before, so what the heck right? Anyway, getting back to the booth. When i came back, Zani, our head of school came and help us. You don’t get much lecturers like him around.

And this was our end product before shipping it out in pieces to One Utama. The pic below la.

We kinda scrap’d the wheels, but i still think it looks cool.. like some kinda motion thingy. Anyway, look at poor Mr. Decker, have to cari that large ass box.. while i cari my large ass cam.. poor me too. lol. After we got there, we had to get our cargo from you-know-the-place-where-the-lorry-unloads-their-cargo-area or loading bay for short. But, Houston, we have a problem. How the heck is the thing going into that door?

What to do? Squeeze through lah. Spoilt our thing loh. Bloody the neraka. Then it was time to reassemble the booth.

Seriously it was the experience with the trade mark. After our well deserved Nando’s eat out for lunch, we returned for the opening. and alot of taking pics of our booth.

Yes, that guy there behind us in the group pic is Mr. Zarim. It’s a miracle we finished it and now, it’s time to get some rest. Kampar Day 2.. just chill, it’ll come.

Let’s talk about our transport there, our bus, which came an hour late due to hurricane winds and hail storms at Cheras. At least, that was why i think it was late. But the driver gives us his lame reason which was,

“I got lost”

So we arrived at Kampar and our 1st stop was at Grand Kampar Hotel. It was like a large structure in the middle of nowhere. When you get to the hotel, you would want to look at how the accomadations are in the room and just fall dead on the bed. But no. Instead of beautiful girls giving us spa treatment in our room. We got to see this old man Tan Sri Dato’ Hew See Tong.

Apparently from the name, you can tell he’s not your average grandfather. I think he said he is in the parliament, or was. If you would ask me, he’s a friendly and informative man. So informative about Kampar that i was beginning to think that he owns Kampar from the core up. But then there was another powerful person at the scene. Mahatma Gandhi.

And some poser. Then, it was time to go to our rooms. Imagine how my face looked like when i saw this.

A room larger than the hotel lobby? Oh my eyes fell off. But why did the sexy/beautiful/pretty/bodylicious spa girls turned into Ron (Gandhi), Lawrence and Chia Pau? What a turn off. I want my sexy/beautiful/pretty/bodylicious spa girls. :-( Argh! So i thought i’ll just chill it out at the very romantic UTAR nearby.

Why romantic? To me, it’s more like a dating/outing/picnic-ing paradise than a campus. The place is built around a lake which provides magnificient waterscapes and backdrops of misty hills in the distance and and and and.. they even planted willow trees. Then it was time return to Cheras the hotel, or to be exact, its conference room for a debate session.

On the left, UCSI students representing UCSI and on the right, UCSI students too representing UTAR! wtf? Outcome? Well, let’s not talk about the outcome, cause there were none anyway. So much for all the heated debates which wasn’t that heated compared to our CS session that night after dinner. Why so heated? You’ve no idea. Maybe you’ll get some on the next update on Day 2.
